Class Descriptions

Ball Class: Sitting at a desk all day? Feeling stiff or sluggish? Then this is the class for you! You'll learn how to use the fitness ball correctly to strengthen your abs and back, known as the "core", and to stretch and strengthen your whole body. Benefits include increased flexibility, better posture and an overall feeling of well-being and comfort in your body. All are welcome! Please call to register!

Combo Class: Focusing mainly on Pilates Matwork, this class may include a combination of Towelwork, Magic Circle, Spine Corrector or Cylinder for an energizing whole body workout. Suitable for those who have completed an intro session in group or private.

Intro Class: If you are new to Pilates, this class will introduce the principles and fundamentals of Pilates; learning proper posture, body alignment, use of breath and movements of the spine. After an intro session, you may attend "Beginner" or "All levels" classes.

Mat (Beg): This beginner mat class is ideal for clients who have completed an intro session in a group or private class. You.ll be practicing 12 Beginner Matwork exercises to help build a solid foundation of Pilates in your body. As you.ll discover, the more you learn about Pilates, the more challenging it becomes. You may attend this class for many months and find that it continues to challenge you even as an Intermediate student.

Mat/Floorwork: The floorwork takes the matwork into 3D! A class for all levels, you will be taken through various new movements that spiral and side bend the spine and open and stretch the hips. Suitable for those who have completed an intro session in group or private.

Spine Corrector: A class for all levels, you can expect an intense workout for the abs while helping you develop better flexibility in the spine and overall range of motion in the hips, legs and shoulders. Suitable for those who have completed an intro session in group or private.

Reformer: In groups up to five, these classes will take you through a series of exercises on the Reformer. Warm-up may include Spine Corrector, Towelwork and/or Magic Circle. The Reformer is a great way to compliment your group classes and increase overall strength and muscle tone. Enjoy an invigorating and challenging workout!

Intro Reformer: After completing an intro mat session in a group or private class followed by a minimum of 2 months of group classes, you may join an Introductory Reformer Class. In groups up to 5, this eight week session is designed to teach you Basic Reformer work safely and effectively so that you may participate in a Reformer Class. Some exceptions apply; please speak with your teacher.

Class Levels

Beginner (Beg): Beginner is ideal for clients who have completed an intro session in a group or private class. You.ll be practicing 12 Beginner Matwork exercises to help build a solid foundation of Pilates in your body. As you.ll discover, the more you learn about Pilates, the more challenging it becomes. You may attend this class for many months and find that it continues to challenge you even as an Intermediate client.

Intermediate (Int): Intermediate is ideal for clients who have a solid understanding of all Beginner exercises. This class builds on the Beginner Mat, now covering 24 Intermediate Matwork exercises. You will increase overall strength and improve flexibility, coordination and range of motion through a continuous and invigorating workout.

Advanced (Adv): The pace is brisk and continuous. This class demands a high level of precision and focus in order to move through all 36 Matwork exercises safely and effectively. You.ll challenge your stamina, coordination and overall strength and flexibility.

Reformer (Beg/Int/Adv): Your Reformer level will likely correspond to the level at which are practicing matwork. If you're unsure, please ask your teacher. These classes feature work on the Reformer that compliments your group classes and increases overall strength and muscle tone. You'll feel stretched, lengthened and invigorated!
