Fletcher Pilates® Comprehensive Program

| "I can say, that with some authority, that no better or even comparable program exists. I endorse it 100% and encourage all of you who are devoted to knowing and teaching Pilates at the highest level to participate." Ron Fletcher |
Pilates Space is one of only two studios in Canada authorized to qualify Fletcher Pilates® Teachers through The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® Comprehensive Program.
The Ron Fletcher Program of Study® is one of the most comprehensive teacher training programs available and the only program of its kind to be fully endorsed by first-generation Pilates Master Teacher Ron Fletcher. It is designed to give the next generation of Fletcher Pilates® teachers the knowledge and experience to teach with confidence, detail and enthusiasm. The Comprehensive Program originates from Body Contrology, the physical conditioning method developed by Joseph and his wife Clara Pilates in the 1920s and expands to include the evolution of this method as practiced for several decades by Master Teacher Ron Fletcher. The program incorporates the full repertoire of Pilates equipment and is exclusive in offering the signature Fletcher Towelwork®, Spine Corrector Work, Fletcher Percussive BreathingTM and Fletcher Standing and CenteringTM.
The Comprehensive Program is taught in six, 5 day sessions, over the course of a year. Each session includes teaching and discussion of the movement pieces, a detailed anatomy section pertaining to the class material and structured group classes. Opportunities for student teaching and a chance to explore movement are also part of each session. Weekly and monthly communication between the student teacher and Fletcher Faculty member is vital to guide teachers through the many aspects of this program. Meetings are scheduled accordingly to facilitate the learning process.
